Delivery Policy
Delivery expectations and conditions for Olive & Ivory Gifts orders.
Recipient Availability
We recommend ensuring the recipient is available at the delivery address to receive the order directly, especially in warm conditions or where unattended delivery may affect product quality.
Safe Drop and Completed Delivery
If the recipient is unavailable, we may contact them and leave the order in a location that appears reasonably safe, where appropriate. Once delivery is completed (including delivery confirmation or photo proof where used), responsibility for the order passes to the recipient/customer, subject to rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Alcohol Products and Age Verification
For orders containing alcohol, delivery is completed only when handover is made to a legally eligible recipient and any required ID checks are satisfied. Alcohol products will not be left unattended or safe-dropped where age verification is required. If no eligible recipient is available, we will attempt contact and arrange an alternative lawful delivery outcome.
Post-Delivery Conditions
We are not responsible for loss, damage, or deterioration that occurs after completed delivery due to weather exposure, heat, water, pests, property conditions, or animals at the delivery location (subject to Australian Consumer Law).
Incorrect or Insufficient Delivery Details
If recipient details are incomplete, incorrect, or inaccessible, delivery may be delayed, redirected, returned, or cancelled. Additional redelivery or handling fees may apply. For perishable or time-sensitive products, re-delivery may not always be possible.
Property Access and Animal Safety
If there are unsecured animals at the delivery location, our team will make reasonable efforts to complete delivery and contact the recipient, but staff will not enter yards or areas considered unsafe. Where access is unsafe, you will be contacted to confirm that a delivery attempt was made and to arrange next steps.
Apartments and Recipient Contact
For apartment, unit, or restricted-access deliveries, a valid recipient phone number must be provided so the recipient can be contacted to complete handover.
